Swap Issues after 275 Miles Ran Great until today

    1993 4 Door - Auto H22 Swap

My swap has been complete for about a full week now, enough to put at least 275 miles on it. Its been driving around great, everything was fine. Just need to locate an auto p19 TCU, but i have been manually shifting for now when I want to go deep in vtec.
I have had issues previous to the sway with my speedo being off, when the key is turned (car on or off) and the car gets power it jumps to 13ish mph. Even after the swap its still there so I figure someone F***ed up installing white faced gauges before (as there were a set in the trunk). Not a big deal overall I will locate another cluster in ebay when I get to it.
Today, after driving for at least 15-20 min and the car was all warmed up (and had been driven earlier) I was going to show my brother how the swap felt. While driving completely normal, the speedo goes crazy one me bouncing all around up to 60 down to 0, all over... then after a min goes to 0 mph and stays there. I figured the cluster was acting up more but then I attempt to go from a stop to whatever and hit vtec 1-2 or 3rd ... I go to manually shift first to 2nd, watching to shift 7500 and it bounces off the limiter at 6,xxx for no reason and I dont think vtec kicked in (YES the car was fully warmed up)
Next the D4 light continoulsy blinks no matter what its in...
I took it home and checked the fluid levels of everyhting and a brief look over... nothing really. Drove it down the road and it went into vtec, the speedo worked (yes 13-15mps off) and the blinking d4 was not there.
***What the hell is going on?!!***
Also I have a trans leak i think... there are spots under the car (under the trans ) and a bit of fluid on the underside.
All i have to say is I wanted a reliable driver and this is not being soo cooperative with me. Do I talk the the JDM place about the fluid? I mean its warrientied for 3 months but I do not feel like working on it more...
Any ideas or input is appreciated!
    Jon

    Could be the speed sensor?

I once had an issue with a preivious swap similar to yours. One thing you could look for is the actual connections at the trans sensors. Your code sounds intermitten. There could be a connector that the pins are being push out. Go back and push them back in from behind. Front and rear counter shaft sensors are notorious for that.

All my grounds are on and tight, I double checked them all... Plus the trans one was replaces since it was torn. I will get under the car and check the speedo sensor plug.

you shouldn't need to go under the car to check the speed sensor plug, u should be able to get to it from the top. check ur drain plug and filler plug for the leak. And also the bolts that hold the trans housing together in rear cases those need to be re-tightened.

At this point it looks as if its coming from right around where the trans and motor meet up. I am not sure at this point if the oil pan gasket is leaking at all but i am very sure that it is trans fluid. Plus correct me if im wrong but the cover on the auto shiter (on the trans) the bolts go through the cover into the trans, need something to seal the threads from leaking? I put a bit of grey gasket maker but maybe it needs a better seal.

Ok so I looked over it again today, the grounds all look ok from what I can see. The Blinking D4 Light and the speedo not working is back, plus I now have a CEL... The CEL from the 4ws went away the 1st day could that be back or more likely a new one?
Is the F22 trans speedo sensor and the H22 the same? Just want the damn thing back up and running right. Any ideas?

After a lot of reading in the tech forums I have found many people to have issues with their Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) and having the same or similar issues... Im hoping thats it and ill swap it out tomorrow.

                      Thanks

Ok its delt with, it was the VSS, the H22 unit has rub spots on the wires to the plug (on the sensor) I just swapped out my F22 and it seems to be fine at this point. 375 miles... Hope thats the last of the issues. Thanks all !
