Looked on this site and couldnt find a thread, if someone knows one point it out please.
I did a auto to 5speed conversion in my 90 dx sedan, i used a 90 lx coupe for parts, the only parts i used in this swap from the coupe were
pedals
shift lever and shifter bracket
rear motor bracket
and i cut and welded the coupe manual tranny mount.
i bought shift cables from ebay and everything else basically autozone and honda.
Heres my problem, ONLY third gear, (because its in the middle) it grinds going in when im pulling on it to second to third.
Now everyone says if you dont find it youll grind it, and thats basically what happens, i find it and it goes in smooth, but when im just relaxing and just decide to shift itll grind if im not lined up properly.
No i dont suck at shifting, and no its not the synchro.
Im asking if someone has the right adjustment on theses cables? (using calipers to find the length or something)
both sides have a adjustment for the cables and idk what the factory spec is, or what i should do to solve this problem.
Let me Know thanks
