    Usdm 97-01

I know this question might have been answered somewhere, but i need a quicker answer instead of going through all these threads.
    My questions;
For the CB7 is the USDM H22a from 97-01 a drop in?
What motor mounts do i use for this swap?
Do i have to change my engine mounts?
    and
Can anyone give me some pointers as to what all i need for this swap!!!
My concern is smog. I want a good motor on my cb7 and one that i realiable. So i am thinking about going with the USDM. But i do need some advice on this. I'd appreciate your comments.

Fine, the answer is no. The 97-01 is OBD2. The CB7 is OBD1. So it is not a direct drop-in.

It is a direct drop in. I have a 2000 USDM motor. use the same info as any other H22 swap into our car. Add to that obd1 injectors,obd1 alternator and obd1 distrubitor and your good to go

when people say "direct swap in" i think that they mean thats all they have to do.

then we get introuble for telling them they dont have to do anything else.

What about the base model vs. SH model ? Can you still use the SH manual tranny or do you have to get a base model tranny for the SH engine?

The reason I ask is because I know the SH i believe or maybe both had the immobilizers in them....OR does it not matter and do you just get a non-immobilized ecu ?

only the SH has the atts, i would stay away from that engine.

all 97-00 prelude ecu's have the immobilizer and noone has been able to crack it if you are converting to odb1 use the 92-96 p13

The SH block does not have an intermediate shaft. It uses an atts unit instead. You can remove the unit but you have to tap holes into the block in order to mount an intermediate shaft. Def to much trouble. Also you cannot use the SH trans. The immobolizer is in the ECU so just get another one.

Actually many places can by pass the immobilzer for you but it'll cost an extra 150 or so plus the ECU is obd2 so it's worthless to us anyway.

SO you can still get a USDM 97+ prelude engine but it needs to be the BASE MODEL and NOT the SH correct? Least that is how I understand it. And you use a 96 P13 or older ecu (if going with obd1 swap)?

Does anyone have an easier way to get the 97+ Lude engine OBDII to work in a 90 accord OBDI without changing OBDII injectors to OBDI etc. and all the other stuff needed? Have you guys seen the wiring like this link: http://www.boomslang.us/

Would something like that work? (OBDII to OBDI ECU conversion harness)

How would that work? I'm just thinking about a newer engine with less miles thats all.
