    V8 swap possible?

I've got a built 350 motor from my dad's super crazy awesome boat that he used to float way back when just sitting, and since I can't sell it.. Well.. Hmmm.. Let me ask.. Is it possible? I figure it would be a lot of money, especially with all the electronics and drivetrain... And I have no idea where I would get a short chevy diff... Maybe... A corvair? Anyways, tell me what you guys think... Just a fun idea.

anything possible with money, skill, and time. theres a integra on youtube with a 454 chevy big block. If i was to do somthing like this i would go with a tube chassie and just fit the accord body on it.

Its been done once before that I know of. Not much left of the Accord part but a CB7 body none the less. Tons and tons of work, money and fabrication.

Seems a little too unrealistic to be a daily driven car. Heck, even if a 350 gets 10 mpg, they still are great engines... Haha. I'll stick to the old Honda motors, then.. Cool pics btw. I feel like the cb7 would make a great drag car. For a commuter style import.

TAMPA, that car has been talked about since the beginning of this site (and I'm pretty sure those pictures are at least a decade old... )
I wonder if it still exists. It was bouncing around on ebay for a while... apparently, it never quite ran right.

Its one wild cb for sure. Just one example that anything is possible.

Someone must have really liked the CB chassis. It would be neat to see it around. But 10 years can be a long time for a car. If it turns up that would be really neat though!

Yeah. I haven't seen anything current about it since those early days (where those pictures are from.) It probably rotted in someone's driveway, and it's now a soup can.

Ill do it 331 SBF, tremec T56 and a T bird rear end should do the trick. This could be done on a super low parts budget. Just sayin. Especially if he went carbed.

The cost will be in the labor, and in trial and error involved for anyone that isn't a skilled and experienced fabricator.

                  New ODB project car, perhaps?

Well I will be honest and say I have no fabrication experience. I've just inn the past year, sicne I got my accord, starting learning about cars. But I will make a rwd honda one day. But it will probably be a prelude/integra/civic hatch.. Although I'm still thinking of creative swaps for our cb7's... hehe

                      Do a RWD Legend
2nd gen Legend coupe, RWD... the way it was meant to be!

or a prelude. the proportions of those cars just look weird for a fwd car.

I'd just be afraid of compromising the unibody with so much cutting. I mean, you basically have to gut the chassis like a fish! A good amount of bracing will be necessary to ensure the RWD torque doesn't twist the car around like a bag of hotdog buns. These cars weren't built to withstand that.
How far can you go before it stops being an Accord, and stars being a tube-frame car that just happens to LOOK like an Accord (or Prelude, or Legend...)

                          Either way... it'd be cool...

Legends are one of the best looking cars I've ever seen, imho. Honda copying the body lines of the nsx to give the legend a more sporty look was possibly one of the best design decisions Honda EVER did. And about making it rwd, I could definitely see chopping the engine bay off a prelude to make room in the back to mount the C32. A mid engine prelude would probably be a cooler car all around though... I feel like Honda could have kept the Prelude and all of its crazy ideas if they would have made it mid engine. Since they did crazy chassis designs anyways. The hood is londer than the 1970's fairlady Z!! I feel like Honda making another mid engine car would be cool anyways... But I'd love to see either the Prelude or the Legend.. The legend would be especially cool since its got the sexy back glass..

I think the Prelude should've been AWD. Of course, for it to really move as it should, forced induction or a larger engine would've been necessary. It was already close to 3000lbs by the time it died, and an AWD system would've put it well over that!

The cool thing about the Legend is the way the engine is mounted. It's longitudinal, like a RWD car!
