I noticed that the Euro starter has an extra terminal (I think it is called a "Spade" type terminal) that needs to be hooked up to the Euro wiring harness. Since the CB's obviously do not require this extra connection, will my original Starter work? My original is a M/T starter going into a M/T which I read should work but I just wanted to double check because of how spaced out the years are. I compared part numbers & they were different.

they should be interchangeable - the CB7 has a spade terminal as well, this is where the "activation" of the starter solenoid comes from, which then allows full-current draw to the motor through the heavy battery cable.
