    Shifter cables prob...

My buddies whole heartedly helped on this swap, but I reluctantly did not check over their work. Because of the way they ran the shift/select cables, there was too much strain placed on them and caused the cable to snap. I've been trying for two hours now to run the new ones, and have not been successful in discovering a way that does not place strain on them. Anyway, stupid question, but could someone please tell me where to run these things? To make it easy, here's the list of things:

    (1) Over or under the rear cross member?
    (2) To the passenger or driver's side of the intake manifold support beam?
    (3) Through, over, or under the rear motor mount?

I'm feeling about dumb right now, but this sh*t isn't working and it's driving me up the wall.

Here is how i ran mine if i remeber right:

    (1) Over or under the rear cross member? Over the crossmember

    (2) To the passenger or driver's side of the intake manifold support beam?? Passenger side

    (3) Through, over, or under the rear motor mount??? Around the mounbt

Looks like your problem is that you are trying to run the cables through things when you should be running them around everything straight into the car.

I didn't originally run them, I'm just trying to correct the problem... I'm also using the Prelude shifter cables... A touch shorter then the Accord ones; Long story... Anyway, thanks for the info, I'll give it a whirl tomorrow and see how that works. I ran a heater core bypass hose (eliminated the entire heater/ AC system) 5/8 hose that is slightly blocking the path making it a bit difficult. Thanks for your help.
