    Wiring Harness Modification Possible?

I have a 92' Accord Ex 5 Speed, and I swapped in a 94' H22A 'bout 10 months ago, I think that I stretched the wiring harness somewhere and now its shorting out the distributor and getting no spark, the reason I think this is because when I pull up on the wiring harness back under the intake where it goes up to the fuse box, it gets spark at the distributor.

Long story short, I believe this is my problem so I purchased a wiring harness off ebay for 50 bucks (compared to a new one from honda $400). But its an auto, wondering if I could make it work for my Manual, because the only thing off the original wiring harness that went to the tranny was the speed sensor and the reverse sensor right. I understand I may have to change some plugs, just wondering if anyone thinks its possible, or has done it.

BTW I did the swap myself, so I have a lot of knowledge about this engine setup, most of it came from this site. So please have some respect and don't talk in NOOB language.

I just had a 5 speed harness that I hacked up to wire in my VTEC stuff, I would have traded you straight across, oh well. One of the plugs differ on the manual and auto harnesses. So be prepared to cut and solder quite a few wires if you decide to go that way. BTW the plug that is different is one of the three that plug into the ECU harness. I tried to just use the manual harness becasue I am switching from auto to manual, but like i said one of the plugs differ. So the only plugs you would need to change would be the reverse light, and the main plug to connect the two harnesses I would think. Those were the only two differences I noticed. And cutting the three extra plugs for the tranny.

    Good luck wither way.

        *Update*

I got the auto wiring harness in the mail today, and I ripped it apart wire for wire, changing plugs here and there, finally getting it on the engine and then in the car. Fired up first try. So if anyone needs assistance on making an auto engine harness work on a manual, lemme know.

          grounds!

check your grounds, there should be a ground on the thermostate housing. i had a CRX put a new motor in that, did the same thing. if i moved the harness back there it would pull the ground tight and it would spark again. its got nothing to do with the dizzy really, just a really important ground. its under a bunch of shit so its hella easy to miss, i found out the hard way.
