auto tranny h22?

My 91 lx is a auto and I'de like to swap a h22 in & stay auto, my question is which h22 on hmotors has a auto tranny? is it the 30015 or 30016 item number or whatever..? thanks

You have to call and ask for an auto. See most times the engines that come in with autos they seperate the auto and sell the engine alone as a long block. They do have the autos there you just have to call and get pricing on one.

busted lx: how about running the h22 long block w/ f22 auto tranny? would that work very well or would it cause drivability problems?

It will work fine, It's not geared correctly and it will shift at the incorrect RPM but it's not like it wouldn't work. To get the most out of it you'd need the Prelude auto tranny and TCU.

I initially had a jdm auto h22 because I didn't want to swap to manual. Long story short: the pressure plate broke and I swapped in a manual tranny. Couldn't be happier!

Just go with the manual! You will be happier in the long run!!!

Auto H22s are pretty unique swaps, since no one really seems to want them. However, you can beef up your auto tranny to be pretty good. I don't know that you could ever make it as good as a 5 speed in the hands of a good driver, but it could still be worthwhile. Level 10 apparently has some intersting buildups for an auto tranny.

I know at least one person on this site who is planning an auto H22 swap, for reasons other than simply preference. When auto is your only option, it's still better than nothing!

Same here. I didn't know about their service reputation (I just learned of their existance, actually). However, I always make a point of getting any work done by someone I know and trust (if I can't do it myself).

I used to have an auto H22 in my CB7. Theres no shame in it. If you are stuck with an auto and cant get the parts needed to convert to 5spd, then go for it. Even automatics can kick ass! Good luck bro!

My newly swapped h22 is auto also. Its still a great improvement over the f22, but mine wont stay auto for too much longer.

my old 94 accord w/the jdm h22 auto was a beast for what it was. 15.0 at 93mph in the 1/4 and toped out just north of 150mph. deffinatly a fun swap.
