ok guys heres my problem i just did my swap and it runs really good the only codes im getting are 12 and 17 egr and vss the vss is because we dont have the power steering line hooked up yet so no fluid not sure on the egr i think it may be bad anyways the problems im having are the idle jumps up and down, and when i get on it it doesnt feel like its hitting vtec and the redline is the same as stock 6200 im running a p13 ecu or at least thats what it said on the cover lol any help would be appreciated im thinking i got sold a stock ecu with a p13 cover but not sure it didnt bolt into the cover for my old ecu anyways thx ray.

No that's right P13 it won't bolt onto your stock accord plate...the holes don't line up....as far as the codes try changing your EGR valve(i used the one from the accord) bolted it onto the prelude. My idle jumps up and down too...still messing with it..try taking the AIC off(bolted to the front of your throttle body)and clean the filament with brake cleaner or something to that degree....or adjust the screw on your throttle body open or close it more to adjust......as far as the vtec...once it hits 5000RPM you should hear and feel a huge difference in power(i sure did)Originally posted by ray rayok guys heres my problem i just did my swap and it runs really good the only codes im getting are 12 and 17 egr and vss the vss is because we dont have the power steering line hooked up yet so no fluid not sure on the egr i think it may be bad anyways the problems im having are the idle jumps up and down, and when i get on it it doesnt feel like its hitting vtec and the redline is the same as stock 6200 im running a p13 ecu or at least thats what it said on the cover lol any help would be appreciated im thinking i got sold a stock ecu with a p13 cover but not sure it didnt bolt into the cover for my old ecu anyways thx ray.
Did you use the stock accord wiring harness and run the extra 4 wires to the new ECU? vtec solenoid wire, vtec oil pressure sender wire, knock sensor wire, and AIB sensor wire

ok thx guys, it is a 5 speed swap and we used the accord harness and added the v tec wires, my car was an ex with the f22a6 so i didnt have to add the iab wires, im gonna try the egr first. and i think my idle problem definitely is the iacv it looked pretty sticky, and when i unplugged it the idle straightened right up.ok guys ill try the things you've suggested and go from there. thx for the info guys its appreciated.im finally back in a cb7 its like coming home.lol

ok guys i got rid of all the codes except for the vss i replaced the speed sensor with another one and same thing no speedometer and the same code and still no vtec engagement i still dont have the power steering hooked up but that shouldnt cause it to throw the vss code cause people get rid of there pstg and they dont have a light right anyways the other codes were because the clip on one of the ecu plugs came undone snapped it back in and they dissappeared any ideas on the vss problem im sure thats why its not engaging vtec.im finally back in a cb7 its like coming home.lol

If your VSS is bad and you have no speedometer, you will not hit VTEC (as far as I know). I believe that it gets part of its signal from the VSS. But definitely hook the power steering lines up to the VSS... Could take care of part of your problem.Originally posted by Junior SmurffNevermind guys, google search works wonders!
