Ok...what I am planning on doing is going to the local junk yard to purchace another head for my car (F22a1). I have already done a search and found nothing. what I was wondering is can I use a SOHC VTEC in place of mine, and what else I would need off the junk car. If anyone knows, or maybe knows another thread where this has already been posted, please let me know. Also, the reason for me doing this is that I want to pratice porting and polishing, and I can get heads here for about $40-50, so I figured why not grab a vtec head while I'm at it.

did you try searching "hybrid swap" and the like, there are frankenstein swap threads all over these boards. or, im guessing youre thinking an f22b1 head, like off the 5th gen - so search "f22b1 head swap" and similar terms, its amazing what you'll find - funny if you didn't get anything!! either way, an f22 sohc is gonna fit to an f22 sohc, if you know what im saying - just learn your details, Search is your friend
as for p/p practice, if you can get a vtec head for cheap then try it out - personally, if i were testing the head after the p/p - i'd go non v-tec so as to better notice the performance change, since you eliminate a factor in the feel of your driving by taking out the vtec.
good luck either way
