Im trying to remember whos car it was that has an H22 swap with a CAI. I had a shortram but I swapped my stock airbox back. My car runs a hell of a lot smoother with the stock airbox but I miss the sound and extra power of the shortram. Anyways, I have a Apexi VAFC coming so I plan on tuning my car (friend has a dyno and a wideband O2) and I want to tune it with the CAI. Does any have pictures of their CAI with the H22 and how tight is the fit. I would hate to spend the money on a good AEM V2 and have it not fit my car. Thanks for the help!

I'm sure there are a few H22 swaps with CAI on here...
I think the V2 is bigger than the V1, so I don't know how it would fit. But here is mine with the Prelude CAI.

Hope this helps!Originally posted by Junior SmurffNevermind guys, google search works wonders!
I don't have road rage, my car just goes faster than yours!

DO NOT GET A V2!!! atleast not for the h22. i had a friend with an h22 lude and he had short ram air intake, and my car is a h22 accord with aem cold air. he usually wins when we race, he put on the v2 and id beat up on him pretty badly. id even beat him when i was driving my girlfriends 2003 gti 1.8t, which is stock. he got so mad HE ACTAULLY GAVE THE V2 AWAY.1990 Accord four door EX + JDM H22A + JDM LSD H22 trans: Born 08/01/2003 - Killed 11/12/2008

Well I know this is a swaps thread, but what is the power difference between a shortram and a CAI. I had a CAI on my stock motor (F22A6) and IMO it did actually pull harder at the top end. The only thing I didnt like about the shortram with the H22 was that it seemed jerky and there was deffinately some tuning that needed to happend, I had a huge flatspot from around 2500 to about 4500. With my stock air cleaner back on, its not as snappy but its a lot smoother. Im getting my car dynoed next weekend, and I imagine that the flatspot is gone.
Has someone ran both the CAI and a shortram at one time or another with an H22 and what was your opinion, which was better, positives and negatives, etc.

and back on topic... ive run 3 types. shortram, cai and my current(and favorite). i actually prefer the shortram. i realize the topend is a little weaker. but there isnt a big loss. but the difference between the two off the line, night and day. when you step on it off the line with a cai, you can hear the intake suck and then it feels almost like it bogs and then picks up a second later. with the shortram, instant jump. feels alot torquier. i will forever be using a shortram(slightly modified
)

yea, i dont have an aem... but shortrams are louder. or at least sound louder to the driver since the filter is closer to the cabin.Originally posted by h22accordazI like short ram better.... Has anybody noticed that the aem shortram on an h22 is freaking ridiculously loud? Or is it just my car?
mine looks like this...Originally posted by bbhondacb793The filter? What kind of shortram setup is he running?
shortram on roids.
this is what your normal 3" intake filter looks like next to mine.
