Remember that the CB7 is a hefty car. But the potential's there with the H22A.

Probably aint tuned. He said nothing about his hp or time. I heard somebody did the swap but because he had faulty injectors he had like 130 horses untill it was tuned. But you know what, I love my current power,

Soo i know ima love the h22.

guys a dumbass... true, your not gonna hit 11's just swapping in an h22, but you wont be dissappointed. as long as your not expecting too much you'll be pleasantly surprised

i like my h22, much quicker compared to my f22 went from a time of 16.4 with my f22 to 14.6 with h22. both times with shitty tires. I think i can even do better than 14.6 with some good tires cause i wasnt getting much traction in 1st. This guy that has troubles beating mid 15 second cars.. well he prolly forgot to hook up the vtech wires. hhahahahah

The h22 isnt slow fo rthat you cant take it to the races and beat most civics and integras. But that guy on that site was doin things the wrong and seemed to me the halfassed way. But forget about him when you have that h22 in there just put things to factory spec and you should be walkin on them keepin up with em or pullin on em when they see that theyll ask you damn man what the hell you got int here.

Oh yeah forgot to mention you will be vtec happy everytime crossin over pullin it to redline. Hell someone may even challenge you like i get challeneged so many times. Or meet the same car with the same amount of mods then youll see. And also not everyone has the same amount of mods on their car and when someone fast comes along theres always gonna be someone else faster just keep that in mind aswell.

I know this thread is getting old, but hey... Here's my .02.

That guy said he's running a 2.25" exhaust, which is too small for the H22 to run at its full potential. The low end will be there, but it'll choke on the high end. You need 2.5" to get it right.
Also, his "headers" is probably crap (like his OBX muffler and "resinator") so he probably picked up some restriction there... The stock H22 header is about as good as you can get, without spending tons of money of a custom piece. From what i've been able to tell, the Type S header is about as good as any mid-range aftermarket header you can get ($500-$700) and the regular H22 header is as good as the $300-$400 ones.
The muffler (as long as it isn't louvered) is probably better than stock, but far from a good piece. Since I know nothing about the "resinator" (resonator), I can't say whether that's causing a power loss. I wouldn't doubt it though. Also, he mentioned shifting problems... If you have a bad shift assembly, and you can't properly compensate for it (or fix it) then your times are definitely gonna show it!

Why do people always want the best... cheap, easy, and now? I KNOW my car won't be remarkably fast for quite some time! Unless, of course, you consider high 14s remarkable...

its like this if you doin a drag race get a 2.25 that will help you get off the line cause of our weight. If your doin like highway things on the highway get a 2.50 be prepared to spend gas on the 2.50

Eh, I still get 25 miles to the gallon when I drive normally ("normally" according to other people... "normally" to me is usually full throttle wherever possible!)

2.25 will get you to 25mph real quick, and then you'll be hurting. It won't damage anything, but you'll have too much restriction for the top end. Moderate airflow (like a 2.5" exhaust) won't make the car less efficient, and it'll make the proper amount of power.
