    A04 & A03 ECU differences?

have two ECUs with the same prefix, then in middle have PT3 and at end have A03 and A04 respectively. Both are from 90-93 Accords.

    XXXXX-PT3-A03

    XXXXX-PT3-A04

what are the differences between the two?

Well to answer my own question... information obtained from friend at Honda Dealer.

To restate my situation. I have a friend that has possibly bad ECU in his 91 LX 5-speed. I have a spare ECU from what I thought was a 91 LX 5 speed. However, I stand corrected becuase it was from a 92 LX coupe 5-speed. Now the manufactured date stamped on it makes sense!

      His ECU (91 LX 5-speed) - Dated 1990 37820-PT3- A03 is indeed from a 91 LX 5 speed.

      My ECU (92 LX 5-speed) - Dated 1992 37820-PT3-A04 is from a 92-93 DX/LX 5-speed.

FYI: DX and LX are same engine/trans combo. Only interior luxury differences.

hehe i thought it was auto and manual.

hehe out of all the things i know about cars, ecu is another story haha
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Just FYI, I made corrections to the thread above. The differences are not in manual vs automatic..it's in the model year. I made a booboo in thinking my ECU was from 91 LX 5 speed...it's from a 92 LX 5 speed. Big diff eh?
