    H22 Mount Problems

    Hey,

Me and my buddies finally got the F'ing H22 in my car (Took 4 days ) lol.

I went from Auto to Manual too and that was a pain.

Now, the Passenger side motor mount wont match up.

Do I need the 90-93 Accord Manual Tranny mount or???

Help me out ASAP because I cant drive the car and its a real tease

    Thanks!!! - Lam

    2. yes, you need to cut out the auto mount and weld in the manual mount.

I dont think you need to Cut or Weld anything...

I took the old mount off...And it looks like a new mount will just bolt right up...

I just dont know what to get or order...

There are plenty of threads on how to Swap an H22.

The things is, I went from Auto to Manual Tranny so my mounts are diffrent and no one ever mentioned anything about Autos. Just Manuals.

      Thanks,
      -Lam

another option thats been brought up is to use a 4th gen prelude (92-96) or 5th gen accord (94-97) manual transmission mount bolted onto the new manual transmission

          I just ordered a 5 spd motor mount for a 91 accord.

So you're telling me that, that wont work?

Should I call them back and get a 5spd mount for a 4th gen Prelude?

          Thanks,
          -Lam

This is kinda off topic but, by any chance did you use to live in California? where do you live now? Florida? I knew a guy named Lam thats vietnamese that used to live here in Fairfield and his family owned 2 CB7's. I lost contact with him after highschool and I dunno, maybe i'm jus pushin my luck. coz I don't come across many guys named Lam. His last name is Nyguen.

                swap

yeah if you are using the f22 tranny then u got to cut out and weld the manual mount in cause its different. I just recently did the swap and went through it already. Not sure if u have the h22 tranny but drilling out factory welds and replacing it is a must. L8erz

And i think your have to use (2) 3/8 inch spacers on the driver side mount so that the motor will sit level. Feel free to bring the truth to this
