    H22 almost done

ok so my h22a is bolted into the engine bay and all the wiring is hooked up...but i cant get the rear heater hose to hook up...was i supposed to hook it up before i put the engine in? also is it okay to grind/cut the crossmember so my exhaust will fit? the only other problems i am having is that 1) i cant get the spindle nut off of one of my cv axels...the cv axel is broken and i got a new one...are there any tricks to removing it? ive tried an impact wrench, a breaker bar, heating it up...nothing will make it budge...2) i cant get my passenger side axel to go in...ive greased it but it will only go in a certain distance then stop...does my car have to be in a certain gear? it is in neutral...any help would be appreciated...thanks...

RETURN IT WHILE YOU CAN!!!! lol... F'ing H22 Swaps suck man... I just droped mine in as of last Friday and Im still having problems with it. How did you get the tranny mount to work?

And yes, while the engine is in the air hovering over the bay (as if you were getting ready to drop it in, thats when you plug in that hose and good luck with that too) With the Axle nut, my friends and I bent 2 breaker bars and then I ended up buying an Impact gun from Home depot for $189 and left that fucker on that nut for 2 mins and it finally came off.

Let me know how it goes,

I had to use a new heater hose on my swap. Try using a 7ft. cheater bar on a good breaker bar. I had to take my axle off like that on my 95 accord. I did it at the gym. I got my biggest friend to stand on the brake pedal as I removed the nut. Man if the only problem you have is getting that nut off, consider yourself lucky.

        1. An impact gun should get it off crank more pressure into it.
        2. Which one? if its the driver side one we installed it when we were puttin in the engine. The passenger side is easy just move the intake aside.
        3. Installing the axle you have to turn it lil by lil while pushing it in until you hear a click thats what i did and it slid in just fine or you can take a soft face hammer and tap it in if you have one..
        4. The other dude wondering about the tranny....You have to tap the other two holes on the tranny to use the mount from the accord.
        5. H22 swaps IMO are pretty easy they arent a pain in the ass. You want pain in the ass try dropping a k24 into a cb i would hate to do the wiring on that thing.

yeah my h22a swap wasn't too difficult. it just takes time and ingenuity. i didn't even need any air tools to do it. i put the heater lines on the heater core before i even dropped the engine so all i needed to do was to hook them up to the motor. the axles are a pain if you've never removed them before. spray a gang of pb blaster or other penetrating lubricant and let it soak before you get at it.

as for the axle make sure you have that lock washer/clip at the tranny side of the axle. it clicks in place when you push it in. i usually hammer it in. it should go in unless you have the wrong axles. for manual trannies, use the accord axles and half shaft. i have no idea for auto trannies. it doesn't have to be in any particular gear either. good luck!
