    distributor swap question

ok so do i have to open the distributor up to splice the wires? or are the wires on the plug that is supposed to plug into the stock coil? i read the sticky and it said to splice the yellow/black wire and the yellow wire...after i splice them do i connect them to anything or just leave them there? if i didnt do this would this make it to where my car would not start? this is the last thing left on my swap...

yes he is doing an external to internal coil swap.

this is what i did. i got a 30A blade-type fuse (same as in the fuse boxes) and stuck it in the connector bridging the two wires together. the 3rd wire you don't have to worry about. then i just taped up the fuse/connector so it won't dislodge and secured it away in a safe place along the harness. you don't have to reconnect it to anything. mine is actually right under the distributor. it's that simple.

excalibur02 made that up ive always done the same, works perfectly, and its easily reversible.

the wires it says to splice together are the heavy gauge wires that go to the square plug that originally went to the ignition coil. all you need to do is put the fuse into the end of that plug, and an internal coil distributor will plug right up and work fine.

            okay im still confused...

what i did to my prelude distributor was cut off the blk/yellow wire, and solder on one that has the circle lead and a plug lead (to the ignitor, because i had an extra distributor i can rip apart)

and i left the third one (fron the left/green in color) disconnected.

            is this right?
so i hooked everything up and used a internal coil cap as well.
should i just take a picture?

              a little help here?
the circle lead on the blk/yellow wire goes to the ignition coil and the other plug side goes to the ignitor...just like in a regular accord internal coil distributor.
then the one that i disconnected was replaced byt he one going from the negative part of igntion coil to the ignitor.
