i was looking for arp studs for my h22a i have swapped into my cb7...and i found a main stud kit for h22a and a head stud kit for h22a4...what is the difference between main studs and head studs? also if there is a difference would the h22a4 head studs fit on the h22a engine? just a little something i was wondering cause i didnt know and i couldnt find any information on it anywhere else...

When they say head studs, they are refering to the top end (head) of the engine. Generally, the "mains" are in reference to the bottom end caps that hold the crank, and the fasteners used to secure those caps/mains. So my guess is they listed fasteners for both the top and bottom end of the engine.1992 Accord LX - SOLD -

h22a4 got bigger mains, but other than that and the open/closed deck difference, they're pretty much the same physically.....you could compare head gaskets or just call them to make sure.......you could compare the part numbers for head bolts from honda too, just in case they are slightly different lengths
i'd just call arp, when i used their shit awhile back they were helpful and nice....and on the 7th day, deevergote rested and called his mom.Comment
