    F22B timing belt

okay, i bought an integra GSR timing belt, and it's not fitting at all.

are there any other ones i should try?

all i know is that the H23 would be too loose, and the GSR is an option, but it's going to be atight fit. i mean, how tight is it supposed to be?

    any other solutions?

if its not fitting, heat it up somehow to stretch it out a little.

an h23 one will max out the tensioner, and still be a bit loose. The reason I didnt run the h23 one was b/c I figured that if it was loose when cold, it was only going to expand when it got hot, and be more loose.

you could mill the head a bit, lol.

im not sure about heating up belts to make them fit. mine was a tight fit as well but i just used a phylips screw driver as levarage to carefully slide it onto the cam gear.

heat it up as in leave it laying in the sun, or by a heater. enough to stretch it out a bit and make it more flexible.

just curious, but have any of you fellows used a gates racing or greddy timing belts for the gsr on your f22bs? if so do they work well?

Or are these just straight up oem acura timing belts?

well...the tricks to getting the timing belt on...

                            a) have someone torque the intake cam so it lines up properly.

                            b) slip only the 1st quarter of the belt on to all the lower cams and one of the uppers.
Having only a small portion on makes it a lot easier to stretch and get on.
