From my limited knowledge, I'd say if you swapped transmissions and TCU's then you would be fine, I'm not sure if theres any difference in sensors or anything of that like though. Then again, where do you want it to shift? That TCU is made for an H22 motor, not the F22 (that I'm assuming you have in your car) so it will shift higher...

well i like it to shift a lil higher but after like 6300 6500 it kinda loses a lot of power but then it will end up around 4000 and thats were it seems to get the most power i just want those shorter gears for acclerationOriginally posted by DannoFrom my limited knowledge, I'd say if you swapped transmissions and TCU's then you would be fine, I'm not sure if theres any difference in sensors or anything of that like though. My past cb had a jdm h22a auto swap. From my experience.
Keeping the H22a + F22 TCU is just like almost having a H22a + F-series tranny.
The car doesn't know you have a h22 and will shift exactly like it still had the F22 motor in there!! At the track, my best time was a 16.1 which is almost really manual F-series territory basically. Of course if you shift it manually, u can reach v-tec and the motor will come alive...but it falls out just as quick.
Now putting the H22a+ H22 tcu vastly effects the cars shifting points (duh) and it improves the cars speed + keeps you in v-tec territory when floored. When I finally changed it to that tcu, thats when I started giving other happy ricers in my area a second opinion on my accord. It does however shift WaaaY to early for my liking when just cruising in town. You can already be in 4th it seems just going 25-30ish...but when you gradually step on the gas it accounts for it and shifts a little bit later...but it's still way to early. It does a good job of downshifting on it's own to wake up in v-tec land when needed...but it just felt weird to me on how soon it would shift. I like how a H23 tcu felt better because it was sorta in the middle. I also used the v-afc to help keep it in v-tec when I floored it. The f22 tcu will keep dropping you out even if u manually shift it.Last edited by Warudakumi; 06-11-2007, 11:14 AM.

question was answered a long time ago. you dont need anything besides the transmission. the h22a tcu will think you have a h22a and shift at 7200 instead of 6200 and your engine will be f'ed in no time flat. keep f22 tcu and get diff transmission, you will lose mpg, but gain a little bit of performance. thats all.

those manual car drivers can't drive unless the course is super technical. auto has it's perks and it's not mainly on the track.Originally posted by arthaccordyes because i auto cross and unless you can heel toe like a bitch auto is actually faster i beat manule cars in times all the time and they have more stuff done
but to answer you question just get the tranny with the standard accord tcu and you should be fine. the ratios are so close that you prolly won't notice the difference until 5th gear or unless you run the h22 tcu.
