    prelude P/S high pressure line

I got an cut prelude p/s line and planning to cut my accord line and clamp the line together to get my lude p/s pump to work on my accord. Now the question is the line hold lot of pressure over 1000psi will the clamp hold? how did u guy did your power steering? Did you use a prelude half cut p/s hose or the whole p/s hose from the pump to the firewall. Since dealer want $183 for the whole hose.. right now my lude p/s cut hose is about 2-3 feet long..

I bought the lude hose. A clamp isn't gonna hold that pressure very long.

Flare the lines and use a flare coupling. That'll hold.

I was thinking about getting the whole hose from local part store will the 93 vtec lude p/s line a direct fit to the accord p/s fiting system? I will be using the lude pump, but the part i'm concern is the fiting close to the firewall, will the lude line has the same shape and will it bolt up to te accord fitting perfectly.

I'm pretty sure it will work as I've seen people with 4g's that have Lude hoses on there.

Ive got this much of my H22 line...

Im just going to hack my Accord line and braze them together. That thing is an extreamly high pressure line and id feel much safer having a solid link between the OEM system and the H22 system.

the line I got is a bit longer then your , it has the full rubber hose lenght. so how r u going to make it solid between the accord and h22 line? weld it at the metal line?? I don't have a welder

Im going to have it Brazed. Slightly different that welding. Ive never brazed (i can weld though), im just going to take it down to my mechanics shop while the car is down during the swap, and have him braze it. If the bends are off, we can just add some more piping. Itll work, and be much cheaper than a new Prelude line.

"Most" car shops should be able to braze it together for cheap. If not, they suck then.

real racer don't need power brake booster they brake manually or use there feet like the old school bedrock

I can live without it in the middle of the Nevada desert...the temps here would break any of those lazy ass pussy thermometers in LA...my car weighs in at closer to 2700ish lbs... but the desert temps even out the blah factor...

Still though, I actually like it better without... even with my new sticky Sumi's...

I'll be keeping the brake booster though blazen...

what you might do is take it to a shop that make hydrolic hoses and get a male and female JIC flare style fitting and have it crimped.i can make them @ my work,i'll check the size and see if i can crimp 'em.
if you can't get anyone to do it for you,use digita dial camliper (not a tape mesure) let me know the sizes of the hose, OD & ID.
i MIGHT be able to do it. parts + ship. maybe $25 tops.

Thank all for the reply, I got a local welding shop to get my p/s working. I End up using my accord line, they heated the metal line and bend it downward so it no longer hit the hood sound simple but I have not thought of that it seem work work fine, hope that bending will not weaken the metal line later on..
