    h22 engine. tranny?

ok i am looking to do a h22 motor swap in my 93 lx. i read on accordtuner that if you dont buy the h22 tranny and use your f22(stock) tranny that the tourque will blow your tranny bevause it cant handle it. so my question is should i buy the h22 tranny? by the way its automatic. and if i do need the h22 tranny do i need any kind of tranny mounts?

F22 tranny works JUST FINE. Might need to tap your h22 tranny but ofcourse this is already in the swap sticky which you've already read.

            ...adjust accordingly

The H22 Auto swap is a drop in just use the mounts on your F tranny. BTW, most H22 auto swaps are usually about $500-700 cheaper than H22 5spd. swaps. JDM swaps that is. I went to JHOT in Augusta GA and entire swap was $1054. Just a thought.

Why are you revving and downshifting an automatic. If that is the case just do a tranny swap. I don't understand automatic guys shifting an automatic. Maybe it's because I drove manual for so long that I use an automatic like it was meant to be used. Not downing you or anything but I have seen a few posts about automatics and people shifting them.

Your transmission is fine if WHEN YOU LEAVE IT IN D4 it doesn't grind between gears or seem sluggish. By "reving and downshifting" you are only hurting the transmission. Acept the fact that it is an automatic and drive it as such. If you want to have the fun of shifting, buy a manual.

What? If you are saying that with a Manual transmission that it is bad to rev and downshift then no, that's not right at all. Now, reving real high and then downshifting is dumb, but downshifting is just fine (not sure how you would get back down to 1st gear if you didn't downshift Guess you could just let out the clutch and put in nuetral and coast to a stop )

I guess the part I am trying to understand is that why would you want to keep your f22 tranny when you can get the auto swap already bolted together and basically would drop into the car. I did the swap and it really was a drop in.
