Is the knock sensor located under the oil filter on the block? And do I just run a wire to the screw on top? like one of the circle things. Oh yeah, this is an h22a. Thanks

nope, the knock sensor is usually above the filter, hard to see under the intake manifold (could possibly be to the left of the filter... not usual tho). it has a black standard two-pin connector (same as most of the other round plugs), but only has a single pin. THAT pin gets wired to the ECU.
the thing under the filter with the screw on top is the oil pressure sensor. youll see the same thing on the f22, just a different connector... youll figure it out when you get to that point.

yes sirOriginally posted by aero3685
For the oil pressure i can just use the f22 one right since i dont have the right connector for the h22 one.

no problemo. may i suggest going to the junkyard and getting the both halves of the four-pin O2 sensor plug... wire one half into the engine bay (from the ECU thru the firewall and mount the plug on the passenger side strut tower somewhere) and wire the other half into the wiring harness thats on the motor... so itll plug right in with the rest of the plugs that meet up on the strut tower. itll make wiring easier in the future, if you may ever need to pull the motor again (i didnt think i would have to, and i did... made me wish i did that the first time)

Yeah, i was planning on just grabbing a bunch of those kind of connectors for those wires and also other wires that I may need to disconnect. So when I do get to the junkyard, i'll just ask them what car I can hack all of the connectors off of and go for it. Only problem is I work 8-5 every day, so im gonna have to take half a day off sometime to get to the junkyard.. but I guess it'll be worth it. Cant wait to get it done!!!
