    Electrical Grimmlen

ok, im reposting this due to little or no help.

Issue: the small light fuse keeps blowing. no matter what amp put in it still blows as soon as i turn on the parking lights. parking lights(night lights for brakes and corners), dash lights, and climate control lights dont work at all. the cigarette lighter works perfectly. the CD player works. the headlights even work. but no parking lights.

Things Ive Tried to Solve Problem: replaced fuse, replaced dimmer switch, OEM taillights, looked thru all of the wiring for the taillights and CD player to make sure there was nothing loose or wires touching metal, and also looked in the engine bay to see if any grounds were missing. and nothing was out of place.

ive looked at everything and i can figure this out. ive searched and ive found nothing that would help. someone PLEASE help me. i risk getting a ticket every time i drive from work(i work at night).

try moving sections of the wiring harness around at a time... usually you can isolate it by doing it that way and trying it

            First off start unplugging everything.

Start by unplugging the corner lights, bumper lights and tail lights. Then start connecting them one by one with a fuse in place. When the fuse pops then you will know which one is the problem.

Also check the service manual for the wiring diagram for the small light.

Did you try what Bruno suggested? Can you think of anything that was done to car recently?

If you want to solve this problem, get a multimeter a GOOD service manual, or go to hondahookup, they have service manuals available to their members. start checking each wire in the circuits connected to that fuse for continuity and continuity to ground and to other wires around it. If this produces nothing and the circuitry is good, then you might have a device with a short. I would check the parking lights first since you know they set it off. you need to study the circuitry in the service manual. have fun.

try replacing your cluster. Also did this start happening after you installed the CD player ??

i might try doing that. i tried unplugging all of the parking lights. then i turned it on. the fuse still blew and no i didnt install a CD player shortly before this happened. i had installed that like 2 years ago. never had a problem with it since

this all started to happen when i put in the T-stat. i might just take out the t-stat again to see if that helps. lol
