So my block is stamped 1997 according to the circles on the head .... But it is obd1

Most likely already converted. OBD2 was standardized from 96 on.

Then it came off a CF2. they stopped production in early 97.

On the other hand, some CF2's were OBD-II as well.

BTW, whats the engine number? H22a-1xx or H22a-2xx?

CF2 = H22a wagon.

the engine stamp code. I doubt it came off a prelude.
