tranny problems. help.

hey so my D4 light is always on and if i put it in drive it won't come out of 3rd but i can manually shift it down to 1st but after i shift out of first it goes straight back to 3rd.. HELP!!

have you been downshifting too much with that auto tranny?

5spd swap!

no lol just got the car on friday but the tranny was rebuilt less than 5K miles ago

well i ran the codes and i was kinda confused for the tranny it is either one of these three
1-Lock-up solenoid 'A' circuit open or shorted.
10-Coolant Temperature Sensor open or shorted.
11-Engine RPM (Ignition coil signal) open or shorted.

alright the code was 1 and what i did is i just pulled out the lock-up solenoid.. its the one where whenever you press the brake in to ppull it out of park it clicks well that was getting stuck open and its located on the passenger side of the shifter.. when it gets stuck open it wont allow you to go into fourth gear.. well it will only go into third gear and thats it period.. kind of a help thing if other people have this same problem.. thanks
