    replacing clutch master cylinder

im going to replace my master cylinder but i'm not sure if i should do it on my own or go to a shop and have it done. i hav littl eexperience with cars so im afraid im going to mess it up. is there a diy on how to do this? and i also need to know if i have to bench bleed the master cylinder first. i have the haynes manual but this car is my daily driver and i dont feel like making the clutch pedal worse. help please!

If you do it by yourself, get something to push down on the clutch like a 2x4 piece of wood cut at like 2 foot( I had a piece laying around) Or something long enough to push the clutch down and sit against the seat (if that makes sense):

      ok here it goes

-1st change the clutch master cylinder (unscrew the push rod from the pedal bracket, it's easier then trying to get that bracket off)
      -reconnect the lines
-fill the reservoir to the top
-I open the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder to help pull the fluid down into the master cylinder (don't know if it was necesary)
-pump the pedal like 20 times and wedge something in there to hold the pedal to the floor and crack the bleeder on the slave cyl. open and then reclose it
-repeat it until the pedal gets stiffer
-make sure you keep the fluid topped off and once the pedal has enough pressure bleed it until the reservoir level is right (if you over filled it)-your done!

if someone finds what I wrote incorrect or a better way say so please, I just know it worked for me doing it by myself and that's the 1st time doing a clutch master cyl.
