A/c Clutch Not Engaging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so heres my problem, when i turn the a/c the clutch wont engage, but if i put ground from negative post of the battery to one of the wires on the high side pressure switch the a/c start blowing cold, but the clutch it stays engage...does anybody have any kind of idea or suttin?????...thanks
