Aftermarket radiator & high flow water pump?

    Setup:
Race Engineering (Wiseco) 11:1 pistons 85.5mm & rings, forged rods, 0.020" overbore, align-hone crank journals, P&P cylinder head (maybe 3-angle job), seat valves, Delta camshaft 272 regrind, aftermarket valve springs, stock retainers & valves, AEM CAI, F22A4/A6 header (4-2-1), stock cat, Apexi 2.25" world sport exhaust, H22/H23 intake manifold TB & top-half, F22A6 intake manifold bottom-half w/IAB, P72 ECU w/Hondata S100 ROM & dyno tune, 7mm wires, NGK BKR7E plugs, 255 lph Walbro fuel pump, B&M fuel psi regulator & gauge, Autometer air/fuel ratio gauge & elect. oil psi gauge, larger fuel injectors.

    1) Think I need a better radiator than stock?

    2) Also, a higher flowing water pump? Or will my stock cooling system keep this baby running right?

    3) what about stock oil pump? it cool as well?

How them H22's run with our Accord radiators? Is the H22 water pump higher flowing?

    1) Naw, it's a big radiator...

    2) The stock pump flows at 2.6+ Liters per SECOND, which should be fine. The H22 pump flows at 2.4L/m, plus it wouldn't bolt up anyway...

    3) Not much you can do there, but it should be more than enough anyway... Though it would be neat to go dry sump...

thanks for the info, but nah wasn't planning on putting a H22 water pump....just comparing.

Well, I'm thinking regardless if I need to change them out or not, I'll prolly just have to wait and see how they all do. Just keep an eye on my criticals & change shit based of that.

well water pumps usually last wut...90k? thats pushing it..i took mine out after 85k and the bearing was moving slower than the brand new one i bought.

i think the old OEM radiators hold much more fluid than the new ones...i replaced mien with an OEM one cause the new ones are more plastic.

probably the safest bet u can get with ur cooling system is to install a fail safe thermostat where when it fails, it fails in the open position and not the closed position.. at least coolant will be flowing through your head.

usually i just go with oem..but im not sure if its fail safe or not...haha...they last alot longer than the crap u buy at kregans...their coil is soo thin.

THe stock oil pump should flow...yet i forgot the fuel rate.

damn ur running one hellova system...whats the 1/4 on that thing?
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

1/4 on my setup is ZERO seconds right now...cuz it hasn't even started yet. I'm almost finishing up my research here & I'll be working on it by Jan of 2004. Yea, it should be fun to both work on & ride

add suspension mods, velox VX-6R 17" and Yoko ES100's & diff color ext paint & totally renovated interior & you have my future Accord baby
