    ROH Upgrade

I just got finished with my ROH upgrade today. I must say, it was no where near as difficult as the write ups made it. It took me no longer that 45 minutes to an hour per side. For right now I'm only running CL rotors and stock calipers. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep the Accord or if I'm going to pick up an early 2000's CL-S.

If I do keep the Accord I'll be picking up some steel braided lines and eventually be doing a rotor/caliper upgrade, probably to Legend stuff.

what method did you use to remove the old bearing/rotor/hub?

Well I didn't pull the old hub from the old bearing. I just pulled the rotor/hub/bearing from the knuckle and just used all new stuff.

To remove the bearing from the knuckle I first removed the LCA from the knuckle and pulled the axle out of the knuckle. Then I took the bolts out of the bearing and replaced them with longer bolts and used a mini sledge to pop it out. No more than about 5-6 knocks with the mini sledge and it popped right out.

This is the method I used. All you do is smack the bolts and it will pop right out.

Just FYI, the hardest part of the entire project is getting the hubs pressed into the bearings. I used a mini sledge and a 2x4 to get the hubs somewhat pressed in to the bearings. To get the the rest of the way on, I bolted the bearing to the knuckle, put the axle back in, and used an impact gun on the spindle nut to pull the hub the rest of the way into the bearing.

yeah an impact gun is DEFINITELY needed for the 4 bolts in back and the 4 hex bolts on the front side. Otherwise, plan on stripping the heads of those suckers easily w/ a breaker bar.

Actually, the only bolts I used an impact wrench on was the spindle nut and the lugnuts. The bearing bolts were actually really easy to undo. Maybe it's because the car is from a state where they don't put much salt down on the road during the winter? Anyway, really easy upgrade.

I was able to get those spindle bolts out with a ratchet and a brick, lol.
