idle issue

alright. i start up the car, but shut if off quick because i cant stop the raising rpms. it will start at 2,500 rpm and rise to past 3k!!! wtf?

so i take the vaccum line off the tb (map sensor) and it idles around 2k. but the car is rough.

what could be the issue?

have you read the thread about fixing your idle yet, and tried all those methods?

If all the troubleshooting doesnt help, and you think you have a vacuum leak try this...

try getting some throttle body cleaner and slowly spray the areas where the gaskets are on the intake manifold (manifold to head area / IAB plate area / TB to plenum area, etc). If you have a leak the car will bog a little when you spray that point.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Broken intake manifold gaskets do that. Thats one thing to check

Ok so you have no vacuum leaks, how you know there arent any broken pieces of the intake mani gasket? Have you smoke checked it?

all new gaskets.

its acting weird now. i give it full throttle in first and it just moves slowly. i was comming down a small hill on full throttle and its barely hitting 2k rpm. i guess i needs to get tunned.

yea it opens up normaly. on stand still i could rev it till i hear the bov (which is 5k)

Oh your turboed. What kind of engine management you using? Whats your setup? I think this will be the extend of internet diagnosis before I would actually need to get my hands on it

ecu is set to 12psi

current fuel pressure is 35 at idle, 42 at wot

Put your stock ECU in it and see how it idles
