    AEM intake small hole???

I got the AEM SR installed today and there's a small hole close to the throttle,I put that small rubber ring into it but there is still a small hole left there.I found that there's a small sticker like stuff comes along with the pacakge so I use that one to put into that small hole left there and it just fit tight.
I don't know if I did it the right way.I believe Fishyman last time posted about this and people said it must be sealed.Any idea guys?thanx.

yeah, thanx bro.I will put some pics on in next few days.I have tried tonight, maybe cauz mine is auto and can't rev that high.I found out only the throttle has a bit better response however there is not much difference in sound.

o,bro, maybe I forgot to remove something? There is still one part of the old air-box left there which is a bit more difficult to remove for me.So I kept it there.
there is pic about this thng:

It's that small box with the wire goes through,I didn't remove that part from my car, will that cause the difference?

Maybe it's just the way I drive has some problems.Every time the car shifts itself at about 3-3.2k rpm,no more than that, and I don't wanna floor, maybe I need to push a bit more harder to hear it?

ya push it... well that's what i do. i push mines a lot from time to time, but then i just cruize it.. usually in 3rd or so, try on free way, accelerate hard as u merge or something.... its is a noticeable difference, it is nothing subtle, ck to see if idle is alright as well.

i left the bigger box thing in.. i may remove it..

the main thing is to seal up one port w/ the cap (the vacc line), plug the small baby hole u mentioned earlier, and make sure the breather is connected from the valve cover.

wow.. u removed a lot of stuffs hehe.. i will go back and check those out as well.

yeah,I think I will go try it out tomorrow, try rev it a bit higher.I will put in D3 and give it a shot. Also one of the reasons that I can't drive really fast is the pavement in my city sucks to hell,I have been hitting the gound so many times with my H&R springs.I just dare not to speed

There is still some noise as I mentioned in some previous posts persists in the engine compartment, maybe I can't hear the whistle well just cauz the noise.I asked the mechanic to take a look today however he just rev my car higher and higher for several times and say"I am not so sure my friend,to me,everything is fine, little bit noise is ok.............."

d4 will work too as welll... just florr it one time..

                  what kind of noise?

i think at times we may all be too sensitive, like when i hear that high pitch hmm from the aem intake, and what not.. but just saying..

                  good luck and have fun..

yes,I tried once today when cornering from stop line.I only revved to 4100,I heard the whistle sound,it's really cool. However I am looking for a way to hear it more, floor it is the only way? For us autos,sigh......

                        heys

nah its not.. it shouldn't matter auto or standard. standard, auto, they all make sound, jsut perhaps the style of driving affecting it, as u know auto shifts for you well under 3k w/ a light foot. but higher if u floor it.

i've revved auto near 6.5k b4 redline many times, you dont need that high rpms to even hear it. even a quick stomp i can hear it. but quick shoot outs in corner, merging, up hill you should hear it...

if u honestly feel you ain't hearing much then maybe you should ck it out. or maybe you thoguth it'd be a deeper or louder tone.

                        good luck

thanx man,I actually checked my tranny fluid today and it's red.Not even with a bit brown. Then I assumed that the fluid is fine yet still it shifts harshy from 3rd to 4th gear and rattles a bit.Maybe TCM?
I may give honda oem fluid a shot next week.If that still not gonna do the job. Then I am screwed.

i think w/ tranny fluid ur are supposed to use only HONDA. something about it being specifically designed for it or something.

i think u should get a really good flush of the tranny, i think there are 2 ways or something? to vaccum out all the crap and stuff, and the other is just drain and replace, but i dunno..

i will have to soon for mines, well sooner or later.

i noticed b4, i did the regular flush and refill and it made the shifts smoother/quicker.

                            good luck man.
