my 91 cb is having some issues. the battery light is coming on at low rpm and this morning stayed on for about half my ride to work (15 miles). i think it is the alternator and i was looking into rebuilding it but im wondering if buying a used one for now is a better option. let me know what you guys think and if anyone has an alternator shoot me an im id be interested.

go buy a new one!! it will save you the hassle of dealing with a used p.o.s. that you dont know works.some cars have wings cuz they look cool.

Yeahh it or miss used. hit or miss with advanced auto remans in my eperience too. I have a junkyard alty on my accord.

forget the auto zone or advance rebuilt, go straight OEM or OEM salvage. I had the same problem. Thank God thats over.

u seriously want to get raped for a OEM alternator?
autozones and stuff is just rebuilt and comes with warrenty.What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

i did some troubleshooting and it doesnt need the regulator just the brushes. so im gonna get a new set of brushes from honda for like 20 bucks and all should be good.Comment
