    another idle issue..

when i start the cb in the morning, the oil light will come one for like 1-2 seconds (after bulb check) then turn off. and ONLY on cold starts, the idle will drop to 900rpm, then slowly slowly raise up to 1,500-2,000rpm to warm up. shouldn't it stay at the higher rpm's during warm-up, not going below 1,000rpm?

the last thing i did that could have effected the idle was turn the fitv screw down. i even raised it up a bit to troubleshoot, and it did the same thing

So your saying the low oil pressure light comes on AFTER the initial start-up when all lights come on, then go off...it comes back on after all this??

If so and it happened at your 900 rpm that you mentioned before, does the low oil light come on everytime you're at 900 rpm?

initial bulb check, the light comes on, then turns off. once the engine is cranked over, oil light will come on for a quick second, and back off again. that is the only time it ever comes on besides bulb check

startup woes again have come up...

cold start on a WARM morning (~ >70*), car is cranked over, the idle will stay up at 1,500-2,000RPM and slowly drop as the motor is warmed up. oil light flashes for a second once the car cranks over.

cold start on a COLD morning (~ <60*), RPM's jump to 2,000RPM as the car finishes cranking over, then suddenly DROPS to 900-1,000RPM. oil light flashes for a second once the car cranks over. it will slowly climb up until about 2,000RPM again and idle there, then slowly drop until the motor warms up.

if im not mistaken, shouldn't this work the OPPOSITE way?
warm mornings = lower initial warmup idle?
cold mornings = higher initial warmup idle?

and again with the flashing oil light, i can't put a finger on the problem there. it just started one morning out of the blue, and does it every morning, only in the morning at first startup.

i just changed the oil and filter ~300 miles ago. i used fram filters before, and the past 2 oil changes i've used mobil1 filters. both brands have had the oil light flash at startup.
