I got a JDM H22 with a F22b manual transmission. Lately my shifter hasnt been going in to any gear easily at all. It varies from time to time. Once in a while it'll be ok, then it'll be really hard, but it's never nice and smooth like it should be. I just bled my clutch bc the pedal seemed a little squishy and right afterwards I couldnt get it to go into gear at all unless I put all I had into it and it was never this bad before. Now the slave cylindar is fairly new so I know it isnt that. I changed the trans. fluid a few months ago to Honda MTF, then greased the shifter and the cable ends that connect to the shifter. My question is what could be causing it? I searched and came up with either the cables are bad or the master cylindar is bad. Is there any way of testing either of these to find out if they need replaced?

Bleed the clutch fluid. Your clutch might not be disengaging all the way.Originally posted by Speedfiend92lx View PostI think Im gonna unhook my cables from the transmission and try shifting it and see if its still stiff. Someone said thats how you test them. It'll only take a couple minutes so its worth a shot either way. Any other suggestions?Originally posted by sweet91accordif aredy time i need to put something in cb7tuner. you guy need to me a smart ass about and bust on my spelling, gramar and shit like that in so sorry.

Dude I never got back to you about that window guide. I'm sorry I'm flaking on that I totally forgot about it til I saw ur post haha. Anyways I just bled the clutch and it got real bad right afterwards. I havent been able to drive it since then. It had something to do with bleeding the clutch but I'm gonna try to bleed it some more.

Man do I feel dumb. Here what happened was, while I was bleeding the clutch for an hour and a half the other day, I ended up sliding the floormat up under the clutch pedal and never noticed it. So the clutch wasnt able to go the whole way to the floor. I also found that when I did the auto-to-manual swap I never bolted the upper part of the clutch pedal assembly to the body framing under the dash. I just had it bolted to the fire wall and it was flexing almost two inches every time I pushed the clutch in. It shifts and feels like a whole new car! Well I guess atleast it was something dumb and not something bad like transmission internals. Thanks for your help fellas.
