    Short Throw Shifter

Hey, I want to get a short throw shifter when i do my suspension. Theres three things that I want to change about the shifter right now. The height, the throw, and the lateral movement of the shaft.

I've seen some shifters which I do not like at all which have a very short throw, about 2 inches, and have their height are very short, but their lateral movement is still the same as stock.

I'd like to get something that's very well balanced. I've heard good things about the shifters yeamans17 makes, and I've heard good things about about Neuspeed shifters.

What would you guys recommend I get?

You can't be picky with the accord cable shifter. To make it real short the cables will bind and they will it will hit the center console.

      neuspeed is only an adapter.

i had a FushigiRES back when he made them, it never binded and it never hit the console.

i have a Yeamans in my new one and it doesnt bind, but it hits the console in 5th/Reverse and i think its because the bolt is sticking out to far. if i put the bolt the other way Right to Left instead of Left to Right, it probably wont hit it.

EDIT** My short shifters i have had didnt bind, but it is more notchy.

Hola, tengo tres patas. Me llamo tripod.

i'd prefer yeaman's especially his is cheaper (except the DIY short shifter which 5 bucks or less)..but i think yeamans offer is limited and im 100% satisfied with it..though it looks simple enough to have done it myself but hell i aint got those stuff to play with heh. But choice is urs if you find an alternative.

There's also the PSPEC shifter which I've heard is pretty good. It's got 3 levels of adjustment (the last model, i think they changed the design) and it's much shorter than stock.

o yeah that's the only downfall that i also encountered even after i shortened the bolt i used to plug into the new area of the shifter...but nonetheless...great feeling!

ya but most likely there not found on their site anymore because they discontued those for ours..but fortunately the 94+ accord/preludes will work...just needs a couple of adjustments...as well as with Yeamans.

It is hard to make the throw too short with the cable shifter.

I need to do the bucket drop so I have room to move the cables up higher on the shaft.

HEH! that's pretty cool... in a silly kind of way :-D

Well for right now I'm just waiting for my funds to open up since I switched banks, and after that I'll go ahead and see what yeamans is up to. If he's too busy i'll go with neuspeed.

Theres a lot to replace with this suspension stuff so might as well get a new shifter !

Thanks guys! This helped a lot!
