Oh Crap... Valve adj. nut and others

Ok here is where it starts...

I replaced the spark plug tube seals after taking ~4 trips to autozone... (they didn't get the right kit the first time, then they had to Hub over the felpro kit. 27.86 w/tax...)
Put it back together... Adjusted the valves, repainted the valve cover.

Problem #1 When I painted the valve cover, I took out the PCV valve grommet.
When I put it back in, it went too far in, and is now residing inside my valve cover. should I be ok to just get a new grommet (6.99 at Autozone. damn!) or should I try to fish the other out?

Ok so i got it back together and ignored the pcv valve for now.
started it. ran fine. Than started ticking bad.
Took the valve cover back off and noticed...

Problem #2 One of the friggin adjustment lock nuts came off! I must not have torqued it enough... so I get one of the telescoping magnet pen things and start looking for it... Its nowhere inside the head... i went through the pool of oil the camshaft sits in, didn't find it... I figure it must have went through one of the drain holes... now I honestly hope they lead right to the oil pan. Where could It be? I assume it needs addressed immediately... what should I do? Drop the oil pan? not worry about it?

Ok so after that I go to sevral shops looking for this dang nut, I finally go to a jy and find an f22a1. perfect. got 2 and put one of them on to mine.

I also got a oil PSI gauge to make sure if something is blocked or stops working to turn the car off, but I still need to hook it up. I put it under the cup holder where that little black coin tray is, it looks nice.

Now I still need to adjust the valves AGAIN. (still a bit of ticking) But yeah If you could address my problems, that would be great.
    Thanks.

The valves will tick after you adjust them. They sometimes need to wear in so Ive heard.
    wat?

Umm, might want to find out where that nut went. Its most likely sitting in the bottom of the oil pan. As for the pcv grommet, try and get it back through.

God, I sure hope its in the pan... the pump wouldn't suck it up would it?

Pretty sure its too big to get threw the oil pickup... who knows though. Might be worth dropping the oil pan for.

You just need to be more worried about were it fell, if it ran find then its at the bottom of the pan, you could probably stick a magnet thru the drain hole. and the pick up has a screen on it.
              wat?

the pickup has a screen on it, so it isnt going to suck it into the pump. what you should be more worried about is it bouncing up and getting hit and wedged in between the crank and block somewhere...... could this be a good opportunity to replace a possibly leaking oil pan gasket?

for the pcv valve, the grommet really shouldnt go anywhere, as there is an isolator screen thing in the top of the valve cover. the grommet should be too big to ever fall out past this, so it will probably stay wedged in there forever, until you take it out. you could just leave it there, or try to fish for it with a hooked piece of paperclip or something.

I assume you're talking valve cover. It's about $30-35 valve cover gasket kit from Honda dealer.

No they don't tick if adjusted correctly.
This is a precision adjustment of .002 total tolerance. Just from the problems you had with the lock nuts I seriously don't think you you have the lash set correctly. Get some help from someone that knows what there doing.
Take that freek show to the park, maybe the squirrels will care.
