Its in the back, under the back seat. It should be fairly easy to get at, you just need to take the seat off, and there should be a plate to unbolt to get at it. After that it's a drop in affair, basically. I'd check out a service manual for more detailed instructions.Cars:

Oh dont you just wish it was that easy? You def have to drop the tank to get out the pump.Originally posted by bmxfelon420 View PostIts in the back, under the back seat. yup!!Originally posted by C91BLX7 View PostWrong. Only the float/sensor is under the back seat. You need to drop tank.
been there...done it...
first thing...take the gas cap off to relieve pressure.
make sure the battery cables are NOT hooked up at all ( both +/- are off )
you have to take off the return and feed lines..get a block of wood ..a jack...drain the fuel from taking off the drain bolt ( if your CB has one on the bottom of the tank )
take off the filler neck and vent tube from the tank....take off the straps..and lower it slowly...unclip the pump electrical wires from the plastic clips.. and unplug it from the cover....theres a red hose with hogclips...use hogpliers to loosen the red hose from the cover.
make sure when you unbolt the pump cover...you get a new rubber gasket for the cover when reinstalling the pump.
theres a rubber hose on the pump..and two connectors...
first...unhook the connectors from the pump ( they're under the hard plastic covers ).
take the filter off ( sock )
then...slide the BOTTOM of the pump from the bracket / holder.
take the clamps off the hose..and slide it downwards...be careful NOT to break or bend the holder.
its not hard ....now..putting the tank in can be a bitch ..because the underbody heat shield for the exhaust pipe can get in the way..and you have to pry it back to fit the damn tank back into its spot....
I highly suggest you have a friend help you guide the tank back into the spot.
once again...been there...done it.Last edited by SN2BH22CB7; 07-11-2008, 12:31 AM.92 LX. A6 with GUDE bullfrog Cam. M2S4 transmission..Gutted H23 intake mani. The rest you will just have to find out!
