i have seen this coverd a million times but our search sucks and i cant find it now so heres a nother thread about it. i just installed my cai and it idles fine and all but there this vacume box near the battery and it has a line going to the throttle body, when i have the vacume hooked up it idles smoother, and if i disconnect the vacume it idles a little rougher. what is this damn box for? is it needed to pass emmissions? can i get rid of it? it seems to make my car run smoother but i dont know if its not needed i'll do away with it but i wouldnt want to fail emmissions, oh ya also its not throwing a code wothout it.
