spark plug issue

im planning to do a long trip wit my cb7 soon. its in florida and im in ny right now and im planning on driving it down here. before i left i changed the spark plug and wires and cap and rotor. when i was removing the sparkplugs i noticed that the top of them were covered in oil and so where the long part of the sparkplug wires. On one of the spark plug wires, the hole bottom part of it was broken off and got stuck to the sparkplug and it was a bitch to get off.

does this mean im leaking oil somewhere? ive driven my car about 6,000 miles before i changed my sparkplugs and knowing they had some oil on them and it drove fine. will this cause me to have some problems on my long drive and how can i fix this? or is this perfectly normal ?

Yes its leaking and no its not normal. It could be your valve gaskets, but dont quote me on it. You will just have to change your sparkplugs more often, if you dont fix it. Just imagine oil is your blood. If you drain out all your blood, you will get sick and die.

I would get it checked out immediately. Dont take a long drive without fixing the problem. YOu dont want to get stuck in the middle of no where

well i check the oil fluid constantly and it doesnt seem like im losing alot of oil and the spark plug hole wasnt drenched in oil.. just had some oil residue on it.

even if its not normal, will it last me ? ive taken like 8 hour drives before and the car ran like a champ

am i going to have to change the spark plug seals? i read the diy , but how hard is it to do?
