First get as much pedal pressure as possible (enough to make the slave cylinder move)

Then with the pedal held down (stick or someone holding it) watch and see if the slave cylinder piston moves back toward the the engine as the pedal is held down.

This will also indicate a leak somewhere...

Let me know if you find anything out. Good Luck
thanx man. i have my other 5spd in the yard now to look at. so ill check that out tomorrow.

ive been going through similar problems over the last couple weeks....

Under the dash, by the clutch, on the clutch assemble, up on the firewall, theres a boot(part of the master clutch), feel around it and behind it a little. If you feel any moisture or fluid, your master is going out and i would replace it. It can be a bitch to replace and large hands makes it harder. Still a one person job though...

Replacing the slave cyl. can be done by yourself aswell. BUT be careful when screwing in the clutch line back to the top of the slave cyl. I stripped it and air was getting in the line still and i had to replace the line.

As for bleeding the clutch line, you DO need two people to build up pressure.

On the slave cyl. theres a release valve, that you need an 8mm or 9mm... Open this valve and have someone start pumping the clutch. Once you start to see a solid stream come out of the release valve, try to close it mid stream and then the person pumping should start to feel some pressure on the clutch. Have that person keep pumping and after 5-7 pumps have them hold the clutch down and lightly release this valve again and close it quickly. (this releases any air trapped in the line. Do this 2-3+ times.)

If you notice the clutch still getting soft and sticking to the floor, there must a leak in the line allowing air to get into the line. (this is what im experiencing.) I have a leak and i need to fix the spot that is allowing air to get in... Clutch fluid is dripping off my tranny....

well with the car the way it is it will start in 1st or in any gear but it'll move while the clutch is in.

i tried moving it so i could cut the grass growing up around it and it moved. after i finished, i tried moving it and it got stuck in reverse. i tried forcing it out of gear and that didnt work. so i finally got it out of gear and put it in 1st to move.

it didnt move. it was in gear. clutch out and it wouldnt move. made some sort of sound like something wasnt grabing like it was supposed to. i thought it was a brokenaxle but then again if it was then wouldnt one of the wheels be turned different than the other?

Could be: *from easiest to hardest to diagnose

              -Low Clutch fluid
-Air in the clutch fluid system
-Leak in clutch system(check the line)
              -Leaky clutch master cylinder
              -Disfunctional clutch slave cylinder
              -Worn out throw-out bearing
              -Bad clutch/shift fork spring
-Tranny internals such as shift forks are bent

You might also need to readjust your clutch master cylinder once you're done.

              ...adjust accordingly
