Check to see if you put the turn signals in the brake lights.

I have a problem too concerning the brake lamp warning light. Ever since my car got painted, some paint got in the wires and caused my brake light on one side of the car to not work sometimes. I cleaned the plug since but it still lights up at random moments and doesn't turn off till I restart the engine. The funny thing is that all of my brake lights and turn signals work perfectly. I had this weird glitch when occasionally my turn signal would start blinking fast or that when I press the brake pedal the driver side turn signal would light up a little as I'm pushing the brake pedal. Anyway it's really weird. I'll try and clean the plug some more but I start thinking that it has nothing to do anymore.

Take a look and see if you have the stopper for the brake light switch on the pedal itself. If the switch is just poking through a hole in the pedal, go to the dealer and get a stopper.

I had this happen to me on a customer's car once...and the problem turned out to be bad brake light bulbs...one of the filaments inside the dual filament bulbs blew and crossed paths with the other filament causing it to back feed to other circuits...If it were my car, I would replace all the brake light bulbs and the two turn signal bulbs and go from there...I know is sounds stupid, but it fixed her problem...good luck

the part that is circled in the pics is the brake switch. there are two nuts, even though they are the same, one is to tighten it, and one is to adjust. there is also a plug on the sensor that has to be removed as well. make sure that the nut near the brake sensor pin is in the same thread position when you put the new one in.
