    idle bouncing

okay recently i did an abs delete. then i turnd on the car and the idle started bouncing. when i took out the abs i didnt remove any hoses except one and that was connected to a brake like so i doubt thats it. i cleaned the iacv and tightend down the fitv and played around with the idle adjusting screw. all of this did nothing. i have the cel for the iacv but i dont want to replace it and it not work.

anyone know what this could be? mayb i need a non abs brake booster and thats whats messing up the vaccuum. idn just a wild guess.

    HELP PLEASE!

well...its not the iacv...it's doing its job...it is trying to fix the idle...thats why it's bouncing...it sounds like you definitely have a vacuum leak somewhere....what did you remove when you did the ABS delete? and there is no difference between the ABS and Non-ABS booster...but check all your vacuum lines...the best way to do this is to get a can of carberator cleaner or two and spray it around all the vacuum lines, intake gaskets and throttle body areas...if you hear the engine try to die down, you have found the leak...that is the best way I know to check for leaks like that...good luck

Just because there is a code for a certain component, that doesn't always mean that particular component is bad...it could be something else causing that component to act irratically...I shouldn't have said that the iacv is not the problem...i should have said that it is most likely not the problem...Here is the diagnostic procedure...this might help in your diagnosis

            Yes, most probably.

            Honda.

You could also make a gasket from gasket paper.
