    what the hell is this??

I am wondering, on aftermarket throttle bodiies what this hole is for with two threaded holes on each side. I think it is for obdII equipped vehicles but as you can see the vacuum line attached to the "modded" nipple. The nipple had a notch cut in it so the T.B. would get vacuum.if you turn the nipple position (slot position) the idle changes and when it falls out, yes falls out, the car runs like shit and dies.H22 motor and a DH TBits going in for tuning and would like a permanent fix and just plain wondered what the hell its for.I have given up many a aftermarket throttle bodies because of this "problem". I am going with a P72 ECU and hondata S300 and wondered if it could be "tuned" out. This is the smallest biggest problem on this car at the moment.I think i have covered all bases but i'm as lost as idk what...

if i'm seeing it right it's the obd2 map sensor hole...on cb7s the map sensor is in the black box on the firewall, obd2 its on the tb. my buddy shawn (rosko on this forum) sells a block off plate for them for cheap. check it http://www.roskoracing.com/OBD2_MAP_Blockoff.html

that is where the map sensor bolts up on h22a's.
ive heard that only the obd2 motors have it there. but both JDM spec H22a's (obd1) that i have had have it there.

if the hole in the middle is blocked off and you are using the map sensor in the emissions box then you dont need to worry about it.

does your aftermarket tb actually have an idle adjustment screw? i know a lot of the newer obd2 cars have electronic idle control. i had to add an idle screw to my s2000 tb..
