My engine was making a ticking noise, so i added oil bc i thought it needed oil, a week later i was driving on the freeway and the noise got louder, you could say I got scared so i pulled over and turned off the engine before anymore serious damage, i've had it parked for two weeks i just went today to turn it on and it would barely crank, would that ticking noise could of came from the starter or something or my valves

sounds like you possibly could have a rod knock. not good

hopefully its in the valve train

slow crank probably means your battery is low on juice

Yeah I thought the battery would be low, and I do believe I have a rod knock noise my friend told me the same thing before the knocking became worser, Well I guess it's time for a new engine
