I have the same fricking problem. Mine used to work just fine before my speed sensor dies on me. I know it's connected and without a working speedometer it wont work but now that my speedometer is working fine, the cruise control still isn't although the cruise button light and the one on the cluster both go on. I'll have an eye on this thread.Originally posted by Hondapawa View PostWell my cruise control isnt working. Need More Information
You're not giving us much to work with.
Your Cruise Control System (CCS) functioning while the ambient temperature is warm versus a cooler ambient temperature isn't much in terms of revealing a cause.
You will likely have to check everything out.
Actuator Cable:
Start with the Throttle Body and work backwards. Make sure the Actuator Cable has smooth action at the Throttle Body and ensure that the movement at the Throttle Body is translated to an equal and equivalent action at the Actuator itself. The Actuator Cable must operate smoothly with no binding or sticking.
Actuator:
Be sure the Actuator is getting vacuum.
Wiring:
Yes, if your Speedometer and the Cruise Control System are non-functional, I would suspect the Speed Sensor (the Orange wire); however, since you gave no indication one way or another, that is still up in the air.
Below, you will find the circuit diagram for the CB's Cruise Control System. Study it and then verify all grounds are good and all positive connections receive voltage when they are supposed to.
