how do fix my gas tank door, when I pull the door release it does not open with out pushing it open. I think it is the cable that does not have tension any more. So if anyone has this problem let me know?

Theres 2 possibilities:
1) (what happened to me) the piece around the gas door that opens the it broke, so i went to the Jy and removed the whole line. It runs under the carpet and above the quarter panel. You have to twist the round plastic piece on the gas panel to remove it, then replace the whole line (10ft long)
2) The bendable metal clip that the plastic thing holds on to mentioned above either broke or bent. Get another one from the JY. Located on the gas door. Free!

someone had copped my little metal part on the inside side of my car door!
it's just a little metal piece!

yea actually both those possibilities i described happened to me. Its too bad that no auto parts store sells them.
I had to use my key to open it. Then rust started to form!

^ i know mine is rusted a little bit but the last owner must of blind and scratched to fuck around my gas door =\ i gotta fix that
