    Vavle seals replacement

I need to change the valve seals on my H22. this will be the first time I will be doing it. Can I just replace the valve seals and re-use all the other parts on the head ie. valves, valve springs, rockers, cams, etc. Do I have to need a machine shop for the head. I just want to keep the head stock. The head is in good condition. I want to do this job the right way thats why I'm asking your expertise, guys.
    Thank's

I can elaborate more, but yes, if you are certain its the valve seals, yes, those can be done w/ the head on the motor and reusing all the other valvetrain parts. You will need a valve spring comp. and the air fitting to allow the use of an air compressor to pressurize the comb. chamber so the valves won't fall!

I think there's afew more threads on this on here too.

just replace the seals and if you need to go further, you'll know if you still have issues when the job is done. There's no inherent reason you can't just replace the seals.

If you don't have compressed air, the Haynes manual explains how to do this without compressed air using a length of nylon rope.
basically, to keep the valves from dropping. you stuff the rope in the combustion chamber thru the spark plug hole until the chamber is adequately full.

if you're gonna do it this way read up on it or post back and i'll quote you the procedure they outline.

Thanks for all the help guys! I have a air compressor, Does anybody knows where I can buy this tool/attatchment so I can blow air thru the spark plug hole to push the valve up and don't fall to the cylinder while I am changing the valve seals?
            Thanks again guys
