    XTD clutches?

alright so i think my current clutch might be slipping on me. anytime in anygear i want to give the car gas and go the engine revs up like 500rpms then drops back down and it finally gets moving. hopefully this is just a sign of a slipping clutch, im pretty sure the clutch ive got in the car has 60,000+ miles on it so id think it would be time for a new one anyways.

so my question is what is everyones experience with xtd clutches? im specifically looking at getting the stage 3 6 puck clutch kit.

    thanks in advance

clutch has nothing to do with LSD, thats the differential. and yes eventually i plan on putting the OBX lsd into my transmission but that wont be til the summertime more then likely.

LSD refers to Legal Speed Designs.

i personally never had a cheap clutch so i wouldnt know. but i have replaced chrisisiced XTD clutch and twice. now the 2nd one seems to slip slightly. your best bet is to buy a qauilty clutch so you wont have to replace it again. stage 3 for a mild n/a car isnt worth it. go with at least a stage 2.
choose wisely and you will be happier

I have an XTD stage 2 which was installed by CpMike when he did my swap back in Feb. '07. I put in about 15,000 mile on it and it still holding pretty good.

thanks for all the quick replies guys. looks like these clutches are hit or miss and id rather not be on the of the 'missed' guys.

has anyone used the RAM clutches that TASauto sells? im pretty much just looking to get something less expensive as when i get my new motor together a nice 6-puck clutch will be put on it. but that isnt til later down the road.
