    gas smell plus corroded line

today on my way home i just about passed out from the smell of gas, not that im complaining but 93 isnt exactly cheap, i took a look under the car and found a leak coming from a shield in front of the rear wheel on the drivers side, i took off the shield to find this...

any ideas what it is? if so is this a dealership fix or what?

it a $100 high compression line from honda, the 2 steel lines coming down the tank are $32 and they come as a pair. both require you to drop the tank so grab some new gas straps while your at it and a can of PB blaster.

Mine looks identical, except the 2 steel lines are broken thanks to dumbshits @ SEARS!... those assholes slipped the wrench on the toe adjuster and broke my lines with thier fist. i pull out and notice gas leaking under my car, which had been in a garage every night with no leaks... they locked up shop and wouldn't let me in the next day they said anything could have caused it.

EDIT: Here ya go, its #024, and the 2 smaller lines i refered to are #026 http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...gry5=FUEL+TANK

From my research it would be cheaper to get Banjo-to-AN adapters and run stainless line in its place.

DOUBLE EDIT: just realized your an ohio cb7.... i feel your pain

those lines like to go bad, especially at that junction.

this happened to a friend of mine who was looking for a cheap solution, so i ran a rubber fuel line all the way from the rubber line leading from the pump / junction you have pictured, all the way up to the rubber line at the fuel rail. with a cheap inline fuel filter along the way. used two barbed couplers.

< $20, just dont bottom out on something that would cut a rubber line :P helps if you stuff it up against the original fuel/brake lines, theres room for it, plus you can add a ton of zipties along the way.
