The ONLY 12 point sockets you'll ever need to work on a Honda are a 10mm and a 17mm. 10mm for the clutch bolts and the 17mm for the flywheel/flexplate bolts.Originally posted by C91BLX7 View PostYou don't have a 12pt socket?
12 point sockets are great for rounding the shit off hex heads.

Me too...you'd think my eleventy-billion piece socket set would have a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter, but noooo.Originally posted by C91BLX7 View PostShit like that pisses me off.Originally posted by sweet91accordif aredy time i need to put something in cb7tuner. you guy need to me a smart ass about and bust on my spelling, gramar and shit like that in so sorry.

I don't believe that the head bolts are torque to yield. No manual Ive read say that they are and no manual says to replace the head bolts. This information would be pertinent and vital to the user of the manual, and I don't believe they would leave that out. It would be interesting to find out what the tensile yield strength of the metal that Honda used is, then I would be able to calculate whether or not the torque applied to the bolt would cause the bolt to strain past the yield point. If anyone happens to know what material they are made of speak up!Last edited by dbsharp; 11-10-2008, 12:00 AM.spin city

Same with me. When I bent my valves on my H and had to pull the head, I just resused the old head bolts.Originally posted by d112crzy View PostI've used them 3 times on my old f22.
It's the one that brought me across the country and kept up with h22's.
Been running on them for over a year w/o any problems
I didn't reuse my headgasket though
BTW, I don't know about the F, but the H22 head bolts ARE NOT torque to yield.
Im assuming it'd be the same for the F but don't quote me
Your only suppose to torque the head bolts in three sequences (29 lb-ft, 51 lb-ft, 72 lb-ft). working fom the inside out
Only Honda i've seen that is TTY is the S2000...Last edited by 1990HybridCB7; 11-09-2008, 11:57 PM.
